Breathing consciously, rather than automatically, is the easiest and quickest way to calm the mind. The many other benefits include lower levels of stress and higher levels of energy.

An increased flow of oxygen and a reduction in carbon dioxide can be achieved with simple breathing exercises. Quickly learned, they can be used at any time, either for general wellbeing or in the face of specific challenges such as fatigue, lack of sleep, concentration levels, mood and stress.

Typical session length is 20 - 30 minutes and would include the following elements:

  • Gentle movement and stretching to stimulate the body, particularly the diaphragm

  • Different yogic breath techniques that can be relaxing, energising and therapeutic

  • Visualisation, mindfulness and meditation exercises
